Keep calm and get your dessert on
An epic life, and a life well-lived, is truly about balance. It’s about fueling your body with good food, daring to work hard and go after those big life goals, and about being present—celebrating milestones and also knowing that sometimes, especially these days, you need a little dessert to cap off a busy/challenging day. With that in mind, we tasked our Senior Recipe Manager to come up with a variety of 100 calorie desserts that align with Good Food. Real Results. and our Epic Life Challenge. So, have that perfectly portioned dessert and don’t even bat an eye because this is good food worth enjoying.
Stuffed Dates
Slice a slit lengthwise on one side of 2 pitted dates. Add ½ tsp peanut butter or tahini to each date. Sprinkle with Apple Pie Spice or Cinnamon.
Apple “Donuts”
Cut ½ an apple into slices. Lay the apples out on a plate. Drizzle with 1 tbsp Caramel or Chocolate Fudge Sauce or ½ tbsp nut butter. Sprinkle with Apple Pie Spice. (Image from Instagram: @epiceatswithmegan)
Fruit & Nuts:
½ cup fresh blueberries or ¼ fresh grapes & 10 whole almonds
Chocolate Banana Bites
Slice ¼ of a medium-sized banana into ½” thick slices. Insert toothpicks/popsicle sticks into each slice. Dip in or drizzle with ½ oz (14 g) melted dark chocolate, place on a lined sheet pan and let stand until chocolate is firm.
Chocolate & Fruit
½ oz (14 g) dark chocolate & ¼ cup fresh grapes
Strawberries & Whipped Cream
Dip 4–5 strawberries in ¼ cup whipped cream. Sprinkle with Apple Pie Spice
Frozen Yogurt Grapes
Dip ½ cup fresh grapes in ¼ cup 2% plain Greek yogurt. Place on a lined Sheet Pan and freeze.
